Looking back at the first half of the year
2008; we can say that practice makes perfect,
a solid testing program over the winter has
paid off. So far we have been able to get
to the top of the points in Pro Kart Challenge
North S4 with Matt Alcorn Piloting and Tag
Masters Light with Herman Ip at the wheel,
each with 4 poles and 4 wins, in their respective
class.
In Norcal Rotax Series, we sit at the top
of the points in Masters light with driver
Mark Pingol, and have been the Team to beat
in DD2 at Infineon Raceway with Glen Poy
Win, who recently added another victory in
DD2, last weekend he crossed the flag in
the main with a solid lead; that show no
challenge from any of the other veterans
in the series. We look forward to seeing
Glen at the Rotax Nationals representing
Karport and the Swiss Hutless Brand.
The Swiss Hutless chassis continues to be
a very easy to tune machine and the reliability
of the frame and components makes it a tough
to beat package for the club racer, We encourage
Swiss Hutless drivers to contact Kartport
with any tuning questions, please email [email protected]
Our next events are:
Rotax Norcal Series Race #6 at Dixon, CA
on July 27
PKCN #5 at Infineon Raceway on Aug 13
We are in a position to
clinch 3 championships
early in the year, best
of luck Swiss Hutless

2008 Outlook
As the start of the 2008 season approaches, Kartport and all of our loyal supporters are ready for new challenges. The track at Infineon Raceway switches over to a more Nation Wide set of rules.
SKUSA will offer Shifter and Tag Classes to different levels of drivers, plus a well coordinated schedule allows NorCal regulars; spontaneous trips to the Pro Kart Challenge. We like the idea of a solid regional series backed up by a National Championship Race; at the end of the year, in a weather friendly scenario.
The addition of the Dessert Challenge, may even offer an opportunity to do some meaningful racing in the winter months. Kartport Development Driver Matt Alcorn will once again be entering the NorCal Challenge in Stock Honda Heavy.
Rotax Max Challenge continues to offer a place for the more casual racer, we have a nice group of guys supporting SH for 2008, and following on the foot steps of Kartport Development Driver Glenn Poy Winn. Glenn comes back from an injury at last years Rotax Max Nationals, so a bit of a slow start will set the tone for 2008 in his quest for a National Title; nevertheless we plan to focus much of our attention to help him be back at the top of the Local Series by the time of the Nationals. Glen will enter the Northern CA RMAXCH in DD2 and R Masters.
With all that said we present our Swiss Hutless racers for 2008
