Kartport would like to
congratulate their
12 year old driver Matt
Land for a fifth
consecutive win this year
in HPV 2 aboard
his Swiss Hutless Promo.
Matt and tuner Bill
Penzini, a Swiss Hutless
dealer in the Sacramento
area, have put together
a very hard to beat
package. Matt has come
a long way this year
by working next to Bill
over the Winter to
make the transition into
the Swiss Hutless
chassis. Matt has always
been a very aggressive
driver but this year he
has learn to be patient
as well.
On the last race, which took place last weekend
at SVRC in Sacramento, they struggle with
carburetor problems. With a surprising third
place starting position, he was able to take
every corner as hard as possible to stay
in third as he waited for the two drivers
in front to make a mistake as they fought
nose to tale. Two-thirds into the race, first
and second came into contact an Matt squeezed
pass through the inside of the bank turn
and never looked back as his chassis performed
as he wanted all the way to the checkered
flag.
